MINUTES OF THE CONSTITUENT MEETING OF REGENERATIVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION

On this 5th day of January 2018 in Bangem, at the initiative of Mr. Mengalle Ebenezar Akume was held the General Assembly Meeting of Members with the intention to create an apolitical and non-profit development association which shall hitherto operate in accordance with the Provisions of the Cameroon Law of Association No 053/90 of 11th December 1990.

It was at 2.45 p.m. that Mr. Mengalle Ebenezar Akume gave an opening speech wherein he first of all expressed his gratitude towards the acknowledged attendance of members in honour of his invitation. Hereafter he made a brief presentation of the ongoing challenges that continuously plague the livelihood and well-being of under-served, marginalized and disadvantaged mankind in the South West Region of the country and Cameroon at large, complementing on feasible measures due to be taken by members to reverse diverse poverty factors or challenges.

At the end of this presentation, he proposed a four-point agenda as here in below which was unanimously accepted, as a working document of the meeting chaired by him and the Minutes Secretary:-

• Approval by and commitment of members to create a people-led Community-based Development Association within the Cameroon Civil Society.

• Election of members of the Board of Trustees/Directors and Management/Executive Committee.

Resolution 1: CREATION & NAME:

After a series of proposals and brainstorming exercise, members resolved to adopt the name hereinafter:- Regenerative Community Development Association abbreviated as “RECDA”.

Resolution 2: ADOPTION OF THE CONSTITUTION & BY-LAWS.

A study commission was set up during the assembly and after an elaborate study, the Constitution and By-Laws so far proposed were unanimously adopted by members present.
